UGANDA is a country in East Africa also known as the Pearl of Africa. It is bordered by Kenya in the East, South Sudan in the North, Democratic Republic of Congo in the West, Rwanda and Tanzania in the South. Uganda bares the source of River Nile, the longest river in the world. The climate and weather in Uganda are very conducive that it generally receives reliable rainfall in the years and temperature of 16˚c to 28˚c averagely throughout the year hence its major economic activity being Agriculture. The people of Uganda are very hospitable, friendly and welcoming. Uganda is endowed with various tourist attractions which include 10 national parks, 12 game reserves, lakes and rivers, culture, food, economic activities among others. Therefore, Uganda is proud to host you on its fertile soils.

DAY 1

Arrival at Entebbe international airport, our drivers will be ready to receive you at the airport then transfer you to the hotel. After everyone has settled in, you will be taken through on how the safari will be conducted then later have dinner and rest.

DAY 2

MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

This national park was formally called Kabalega National Park and was named Murchison falls by Sir Samuel Baker after the visit of the geologist Roderick Murchison making it the oldest park in Uganda. It is located towards the Northern region of Uganda about 250km from Kampala. The park covers an area of 3840sq kilometers hence being the largest park in Uganda. The park bares the Mighty Murchison falls which are the most powerful waterfalls in the world, the Nile squeezes through an 8m wide gorge and plunges with a thunderous roar into the “Devil’s Cauldron” creating a trademark rainbow. Murchison falls National Park is also referred to as the big 5 which means Lions, Elephants, Buffaloes, hippos and Giraffes among other mammals. The park is also endowed with over 500 Bird Species like the shoebill, white crested turaco among others, 51 reptiles and 51 amphibians.

Zziwa rhino sanctuary

Enroute to Murchison falls national park, is the Zziwa rhino sanctuary where you sight the southern white rhinoceros in Uganda. In 2010 6 rhinos were imported from Kenya and South Africa and as of June 2024 the sanctuary was a home of 41 rhinos. The sanctuary also is a home of various animals including water bucks, Pumba and various antelopes among others.

At 6:00am breakfast will be served. At 7:00am, you will set off to Murchison Falls National Park. Enroute to Murchison falls, you will have a stopover for lunch then proceed to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino trekking. While there you will be able to experience a close range with the rhinos. After the trekking, you will then proceed to the park, check into the hotel and have dinner then rest.

DAY 3

At 6:00am, together with your packed breakfast you will engage in hiking to the top of the falls. While there you will have your breakfast. After the hike, you will engage in a game drive where you will be able to sight the big fives that is lions, elephants, buffalos, giraffes and leopards among other species. You will have lunch and later engage in a boat ride at the bottom of the falls then later zip lining then draw back to the hotel for dinner and rest.

DAY 4

FORT PORTAL

Fort portal is a key tourism destination, serving as a gateway to nearby national parks like Queen Elizabeth and Kibale.  Fort Portal, a city in western Uganda, is the administrative center for Kabarole District and the Tooro Kingdom. It’s named after Sir Gerald Portal, a British diplomat, who had a base there. The city is known for its beautiful landscape, particularly its location at the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains. The city is the heart of the Tooro Kingdom, and its cultural heritage is a prominent feature. Fort Portal in Kabarole District is located approximately 296 km by road, west of Kampala, Uganda’s capital and largest city, on an all-tarmac two-lane highway. Fort portal is inhabited by the Batooro people and has a diverse cultural population. The city’s economy is largely based on agriculture, with residents engaged in subsistence farming, animal husbandry, and commercial fishing. Fort Portal also serves as a major exporter of food products like coffee, bananas, and maize.

HOT SPRINGS

The Sempaya Hot Springs in Semuliki National Park are a natural wonder with a rich cultural and historical significance for the Bamaga people. They are located near Fort Portal, Uganda. The springs, male and female, are said to have been formed from the disappearance of a man and his wife. The springs are considered sacred by the Bamaga people, who believe their ancestors dwell beneath them and perform annual rituals. Visitors can experience the natural beauty of the hot springs, with the surrounding Semuliki National Park offering additional attractions like Semuliki river and diverse wildlife. The name “Sempaya” is derived from a Kiswahili phrase meaning “the difficult side,” referring to the challenges faced during road construction in the area.

SEMULIKI NATIONAL PARK

Semuliki national park is a prime destination for bird enthusiasts spanning 220km2. It is located beyond the Rwenzori Mountains in the Albertine rift valley; it safeguards one of the few ecosystems that survived the ice age. Semuliki national park connects with the Congo guinea biome, showcasing the easternmost reaches of Congo’s ancient ituri forest. Semuliki national park boasts an impressive list of 441 bird species, including 216 forest birds and 80 central African species rarely seen elsewhere in east Africa. Notable birds include the black dwarf hornbill, shining blue kingfisher, nkulengu rail, and the yellow-throated nicator. Primatologists will also be thrilled, as 15 primate species can be found within 6km from the park’s primeval hot springs near Sempaya.

At 6:00am, breakfast will be served. At 7:00am you will then set off to Fort Portal, the tourism city of Uganda. You will be able to visit the hot springs and engage in egg boiling at the hot springs. After, you will embark on your safari to Semiliki National Park. While there you will engage in a nature walk where you will stand a chance to have a close range with the different wildlife species in the park. Later you will then proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival, you will check into the hotel, have dinner then rest.

DAY 5

QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

Queen Elizabeth National Park contains evidence of a fabulous setting on the rift valley floor, surrounded by lakes, escarpments, and the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains. A variety of habitants, including grasslands, acacia woodlands, forests, wetland, and open water, sustains a wide range of mammals. The park’s 604 bird species are a remarkable tally for a protected area covering less than 2,000km2. Highlights include the launch cruise on the Kazinga channel, past resident hippos and water birds; the scenic24km Crater Drive winding around extinct volcano rims; chimpanzee tracking in the deep, forested kyambura Gorge; and the search for tree-climbing lions under the vast rift valley skies in the remote Ishasha sector.

At 6:00am, breakfast will be served. At 7:00am, you will engage in a game drive where you will stand a chance to sight the different wildlife species like the lions, elephants among others. After you will have lunch then engage in a boat ride at the Kazinga channel, while you will be able to sight the crocodiles, big monitor lizards, hippos among others. After you will have a nature walk as you draw back to the hotel for dinner then rest.

DAY 6

At 6:00am, breakfast will be served. At 7:00am, set off to Kampala. While on your way, you will have a stopover at the carter lakes where you will engage in a boat ride and then later embark on your journey. You will also have another stopover at the Equator Line where you will be able to engage in an experiment to experience the existence of the equator line and have lunch as well. Then later proceed to Kampala. Upon arrival you will check into the hotel, have dinner then rest.

DAY 7

At 8:00am, breakfast will be served. Depending on your time of departure, we can you around for shopping and among other things at owner’s cost then later drop you off at the Entebbe International Airport for departure.
