on arrival at the airport, our tourist Guide will be ready to receive you and then after you straight away you will embark on the road trip to Murchison falls National Park which is located North wards of Uganda about 280km relatively 5-6 hours’ drive. Enroute the park will make a stopover at the Zziwa rhino sanctuary the only destination in Uganda where you engage in a nature walk and rhino trekking through the sanctuary where you will sight the WHITE RHINOS, birds like the shoe bill, and other animals like warthogs, giraffes and antelopes. This activity will take about 1-2hours and then have lunch at an enroute stop over You will then proceed to Murchison falls National Park, check into the park then you will engage in hiking to the top of the Murchison falls. The park bares the Mighty Murchison falls which are the most powerful waterfalls in the world, the Nile squeezes through an 8m wide gorge and plunges with a thunderous roar into the “Devil’s Cauldron” creating a trademark rainbow where if you are lucky will be able to witness the rainbows form across the water falls.
This national park was formally called Kabalega National Park and was named Murchison falls by Sir Samuel Baker, A British explorer after the visit of the geologist Roderick Murchison making it the oldest park in Uganda. It is located towards the Northern region of Uganda about 250km from Kampala (capital city of Uganda). The park covers an area of 3840sq kilometers hence being the largest park in Uganda. The park bares the Mighty Murchison falls which are the most powerful waterfalls in the world, Murchison falls National Park is also referred to as the big 5 which means Lions, Elephants, Buffaloes, hippos and Giraffes among other wide animals. The park is also endowed with over 500 Bird Species like the shoebill, white crested turaco among others, 51 reptiles and 51 amphibians. Therefore: At 6:00 am breakfast will be served for 40mins as well you will receive you packed lunch. You shall then engage in an early morning game drive for about 4 hours where you will be able to sight the different wildlife species like the big fives that is the lions, elephants, buffalos, giraffes, hippopotamus among others in the vast landscapes of savanna grass lands with the tall palm trees that are randomly dispersed and the Albertine delta that is covered with thickets all these will various antelopes and birds alongside the big five. You will then engage in a morning boat ride for about 2 and a half hours. During the boat ride you will be able to sight the crocodiles, hippos, buffalos, birds like the king fisher among others. After you will transfer to Gulu city for about 2 hours. On arriving Gulu you will check in the hotel where you will have dinner.
At 8:00am breakfast will be served. You will drive to Aruu falls for about 1 hour where you will be able to sight the magnificent falls and the beautifulness of the down streams of the fall. You will be able to swim, rock climbing, water massage at the falls then later you will transfer to Kampala where you will spend the night. Aruu falls is one of Uganda’s most interesting waterfalls to visit with the cascading streams of roaring waterfalls that offer a thrilling, unforgettable and adventurous experience. They are one of the must-see destinations for a breathtaking experience while on the Uganda safari. Aruu falls is located in Pader district in the Acholi-Lango region in Northern Uganda. The locals that surround the waterfalls are majorly Langi or Acholis and are also farmers in the communities surrounding the falls. It is 386 km from Uganda’s capital city Kampala, 47km from Gulu and it takes 4-6hours from Kampala city via the Gulu highway. It is made of several streams that flow with roaring sound and stirring scene that is simply stunning and unrivaled. The various streams of the falls flows from the seven rocks that is Ryanga, Awilo Yaa, Akweyo, Wang okiye, Lacee, Okello gem and Lanya kweyo. The jagged rocks have a step like formation that allows water to flow slowly downstream from the River Agago. Hotel: NOB VIEW HOTEL Meal plan: Breakfast
At 8:00am Breakfast will be served; you will be dropped off the landing site where you will take a boat/ ferry to the Kalangala Island which will be for about 2-3hours while sailing. On arrival, you will check into the hotel where dinner will be served and later rest. The Ssese Islands/ kalangala are an archipelago of eighty-four islands in the northwestern part of Lake Nalubaale( lake Victoria fresh water body and the source of River Nile) in Uganda. The islands are coterminous with the Kalangala District in southern Central Uganda, which does not have any territory on mainland Uganda. Furthermore, the Kalangala islands are the largest islands on Lake Victoria and they are endowed with white sand beaches on lake shore, palm oil trees and natural forest on various islands. While at the islands you can engage in various activities like jet skiing, forest walks, quad biking, boat cruises among others. Hotel: Victoria resort Meal plan: breakfast and dinner.
At 7:00am breakfast will be served. You will then have a full day at the island, exploring the beauty and serenity of the island by engaging in an island nature walk among other activities. Meal plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Breakfast will be served at 6:00am. By 8:00am you shall set off on the ferry/ boat for about 2-3 hours back to the main land. Depending on your time of Departure, you will be dropped off at the Entebbe international Airport.
